(4 of 11) Opening a Source PSD in Photoshop

- Start photoshop. Photoshop is generally present under programs in start menu.

- Click on start button > Programs > Photoshop (5.5 or 7.0) which ever is installed on your computer.

- Once photoshop is running on your machine, to open a template follow these simple steps:

- Click on FILE button on the top menu bar (Fig 2.1)
- Select open
- Browse on your local disk and select the PSD file
- Select Ok.

PSD files can also be opened directly by double clicking on the file icon.
Once the file is opened, Screen of your computer should look like Fig 2.2.

In case you don't see the tools and layers windows:
- Click on window in top menu
- Click on tools /layers under the window menu.
