(6 of 11) Replacing Logos and Deleting Layers

Since the templates come with source files, users can also have custom graphics embedded into existing templates. We have already seen how changes can be made to the text elements. Sections in this chapter will help you to have your own logo on the templates, import new pictures and export the design to the web ease.

This facility is extremely useful to :

- Change the logo on the template with their custom logo
- When used for corporate website, have original pictures of your office, team etc
- Change the graphics on the template with custom graphics that you might already have.

Replacing Logo & Delete Layers
To replace the existing logo with new one, The first step is to delete the existing logo:

- Select the layer that contains the logo

Right click on the layer and select delete from the menu (Fig 3.2)

After the logo is deleted the next step is import new logo

- Click on "Open" under file menu
- Browse through the files to select the file that contains the new logo. (Fig 3.3, 3.4).
This opens the logo in a new window (Fig 3.5)

- Drag and drop the logo from new window to the template window
- In the template window, select the layer containing the new logo and change the name of the layer to logo.
- Move the logo to appropriate position (Fig 3.6)
